There are numerous ways of providing fire protection to structural steelwork, including :-
Intumescent Paint (up to 2 hours) Spray applied coating, using electric or petrol driven airless spray equipment.
Cementitious Firespray (up to 4 hours) Heavy cementitious spray applied coating using electric or fuel driven pumping equipment.
Mineral Fibre Spray (up to 4 hours) Fibrous spray applied coating.
Rigid Board encasement (up to 4 hours) Board encasement using noggins or metal framing systems. Boards can be finished ready for decoration.
Soft board encasement (up to 4 hours) Mineral fibre insulating boards fixed to noggins or impaled onto pre-fixed pins. These boards are not suitable for decoration.
