Avalon management provide leadership on, and complement, (through supervision), all health and safety matters and policies. Supervisors support the management in their endeavour to ensure safe working conditions for all.
All work carried out by Avalon Insulation Services Limited will be undertaken by competent personnel trained in the work process, and familiar with standard Health & Safety codes of practice. It is a standard requirement for all contractual work to have specific written work instructions. This is generally in the form of a Method Statement.
Before any contractual work commences Management will assess and survey the specific site conditions and work processes and carry out a Risk Assessment. This would highlight to all concerned any specific risks associated with the execution of the work. Specific risks / hazards will be highlighted and the appropriate action to be implemented to prevent risk of injury or damage to health.
A COSHH assessment is carried out by Management for all materials used by Avalon operatives. The COSHH assessment will determine how to properly use the material and if any specific additional protective clothing or equipment is required. Standard PPE is provided for all operatives.
Regular tool-box talks are undertaken by supervisors to remind operatives of safe working practices and the associated Health & Safety requirements.
Training records are held for every operative. which detail all H & S training, plus all specific process training and training on the use of plant, tools and machinery.
